BIOMAPE supports a more transparent and efficient biomethane market by strengthening national certificate systems and improving cross-border trade. The project provides guidance on the design and implementation of biomethane registries, supports countries in setting up or upgrading their systems, and works with operators to improve how certificates are exchanged across borders.
Activities include technical support, training and testing of certificate transfers, helping ensure compatibility between national systems and existing European schemes.
This work focuses on Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Portugal and Ukraine, with support from experienced countries and European registry actors.
