The European Biogas Association (EBA) is committed to the deployment of sustainable biogas and biomethane production and use across the continent. EBA counts today on a well-established network of over 350 national associations and other organisations covering the whole biogas and biomethane value chain throughout Europe and beyond.

AGCS Gas Clearing and Settlement AG operates the Austrian Biomethanregister, the national registry for certifying, transferring, and cancelling renewable gas certificates in Austria. As a neutral market infrastructure operator, AGCS ensures the integrity and traceability of renewable gas volumes. Through its registry activities and contribution to European harmonisation, AGCS supports a transparent and interoperable EU renewable gas market.

Renewable Gas Forum Ireland (RGFI) is an industry forum representing Ireland’s renewable gas sector and supporting the transition towards a more sustainable energy system. Established in 2014, it brings together stakeholders from across industry, utilities, technology and academia, contributing to BIOMAPE through its expertise in renewable gas development and stakeholder engagement.

The Renewable Energy Association (REA) is the UK’s leading trade body for renewable energy and clean technologies. It represents businesses across renewable power, renewable gases, energy storage, bioenergy and bioresources, working to accelerate decarbonisation, strengthen energy security and drive economic growth. The REA engages with government, regulators and stakeholders to shape policy, remove barriers and support the transition to a net‑zero energy system.

The National Biomethane–Biogas Green Energy Industry Association represents Hungary’s biogas and biomethane sector and supports domestic producers. It promotes sustainable, low-carbon energy sources, advances green technologies, and encourages circular economy solutions. As a professional platform and knowledge hub, the Association contributes through advocacy, collaboration, and recommendations, while supporting regulatory development, knowledge sharing, and the integration of agricultural and waste-based energy solutions.

The Serbian Biogas Association is a national platform representing the biogas and biomethane sector in Serbia, bringing together project developers, technology providers, agricultural companies, and research institutions. The Association actively contributes to the development of the regulatory framework, fosters international cooperation, and supports market growth. Its mission is to accelerate the sustainable development of the biogas and biomethane sector and position Serbia as an active participant in the European energy transition.

The European Renewable Gas Registry (ERGaR) is a Brussels-based association supporting the cross-border trade of renewable gas certificates in Europe. By connecting national registries and stakeholders across the renewable gas value chain, ERGaR promotes a transparent and reliable European market, enabling secure certificate transfers and contributing to the growth of renewable gases and Europe’s decarbonisation goals.

APPB – Portuguese Association of Bioenergy Producers is a business association that represents producers of biofuels and biomethane by advocating for the legal and economic framework of this sector. It is recognized as a representative of these activities in the National Sectoral Councils. APPB’s immediate project is the development of a Portuguese biomethane market, built on harnessing the national potential of organic waste.

CCIS-CAFE (Chamber of Agricultural and Food Enterprises) represents the interests of the Slovenian agri-food sector, including the Slovenian Biogas Association. We provide support and advocacy to foster innovation, focusing on the transition to a circular bioeconomy. By promoting biogas and biomethane within the food supply chain, we help advance sustainable energy solutions and strengthen the competitiveness of Slovenia’s green industry.

Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO) is a cooperation platform for the bioenergy market in Ukraine. Its mission is to foster a favourable business environment and support the sector’s sustainable development. UABIO is known for its active outreach and awareness-raising activities, while its experts participate in European projects to bring EU experience and good practices to Ukraine.
